'You sir just lost my vote!': GOP presidential candidate Mike Huckabee attacked on Facebook for post DEFENDING Josh Duggar amid child molestation scandal

Some of the text:

Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee was hit with a barrage of furious criticism this weekend after he pledged his support to reality TV star Josh Duggar in the wake of his molestation scandal.

Several Arkansas Republicans have rallied behind the Duggar family, which is still engaged in state politics. Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar attended the kickoff event earlier this month for Huckabee, who supported the family in a post on Friday.

'Those who have enjoyed revealing this long ago sins in order to discredit the Duggar family have actually revealed their own insensitive bloodthirst,' wrote Huckabee.

Soon after, Huckabee himself became the focus of considerable bloodthirst.

'I respectfully disagree. His behavior is unforgivable to me and so is covering it up and allowing it to continue. Can't hide behind Jesus to excuse all bad behavior,' wrote Andy Dittmaier on Friday.

His comment has since received over 7,000 likes and is among thousands of other responses, many of them far angrier, to the former governor's post.

'You're DEFENDING these despicable people,' posted Kevin Carden. 'This is a big part of the reason you have never been successful in your campaign for the presidency.'

'You're DEFENDING these despicable people?' raged Facebook user Kevin Carden. 'This is a big part of the reason you have never been successful in your campaign for the presidency.'

'SIXTEEEN people executed in Arkansas while you were Governor, where was your belief in redemption then' Steve Scarborough asked the avowed evangelical politician. ....

I suspect that for GOP candidates riding the Evangelical circuit and milking the Evangelical cow, this is an issue that will not go immediately away.

I personally can understand that Huckabee wants to stick with his friends, but calling criticism of a now known child molester is not "bloodlust".

Do you support Mike Huckabee's continued support of Child Molester Josh Duggar?

Explain your reasons for YES or NO.

Who the fuck is Josh Dugger?

A baseball player?

Who gives a fuck.

Huckabee is not going to get the Republican nomination in 2016, so, I don't think it really matters much.

However, Huckabee's support had 'qualifiers' the size of Texas.

Did he not say that Duggar's conduct was 'inexecusable', albeit 'forgiveable'?

Is this not in keeping with a Christian pastor's ministry?

Are we not dealing with someone who was 14 years old at the time he reportedly fondled those young girls?

Are we not dealing with a situation where some measure of intervention was undertaken but in which no substantive charges were filed and in which the records of a juvenile 'suspect' were expunged so that - at law - it never happened?

Yes, the Liberals are having a field day with this one.

Tough break for the family, and the kid, not to mention the children who were fondled, now that this has come to light.

But, in another manner of speaking, it diverts some portion of Liberals' attention and energies away from more serious contenders.

While, at the same time, reinforcing for much of the rest of the country, just how petty and vindictive and vicious these little wankers can be.

Just in time to drive another nail into the Liberal political coffin, in the context of the 2016 General Election.

The cup is half-full, after all, even in bogus scenarios like this one.

No. No real intervention was taken. That is a bald-faced lie.

Josh Duggar was sent to a cop-friend of the family, a cop who buried the police report and who is currently sitting in jail with a 56-year sentence for:

Child Porn.

So much for the theme of intervention.

"Christians" are more than willing to forgive their own, but G-d forbid they should forgive a non-believer for anything.

The Duggar parents buried this so that their family could make oodles of money off TLC. Greed was the main factor here.

Is greed a Christian virtue?

Explain your reasons for YES or NO.

First, what ever happened to the word "alleged" before your descriptor of Duggar? I guess the court of opinion's verdict is final when the person in question is someone you don't like.

2nd, all we have so far is an admission something happened, not exactly what happened, so any opinions on Huckabee are moot at this point because we don't know exactly what the hell he is defending.

3rd, finally, how much of this criticism is from people who couldn't stand Huckabee BEFORE all this stuff came out.

This is coming from me, a person more in the Walker camp than anything else, and someone who has no use for evangelicals in general.

"Alleged" is not needed.

He AND his parents have already admitted that it happened. That makes him quite verifiably a Child Molester, exactly as I described him.

Nice try.

Or were you under a rock the last 7 days or so?

If all this happened when he was 14, it is different from if it happened when he was in his late teens or 20's. I guess your feelings of compassion for juvenile defendants ends when you can score political points.

But keep this up, its typical for progressives to have to expand on something they see as political advantageous by overblowing the situation without further facts.

Every time I turn around you assholes are demonising somebody.

I remember the way your media went after some reality show guy because he said homosexuality was wrong. Probably got the best TV ratings they'll ever have. This is just another in a long list of white folks tailor made for the left to destroy so people will hate America and everything is stands for. Sounds like another set-up like that other one was. Give them a show, reveal something about them and tear them down in public.

And we have this lying asshole and his wife fomenting sedition from the WhiteHouse.....but this Josh Dugger is important or something.

While there's nothing in the media to suggest this is the case (yet) I wouldn't be surprised if it comes to light this cult the Duggars belong to, and Huckabee supports is a pedophile cult of some sort like the UK one, and others that recently came to light.

Only possible reason to support people AFTER this sort of thing has come to light is you're all conspiring to makes lot of kids for your own ends. Am reminded of a confirmed pedo-cult 'Children of God' (now known as Family International.) Rampant and permissable incest, and the only no-go was male homosexuality. But female-homosexuality was fine including incestuous. Ever since their activities became public, I've wondered who took up the slack. Quiverfull perhaps? The 'let's marry kids off really young and encourage them to make lots of babies.' If nothing else it's teaching that girls are just baby-factories who need to get married, obey their husbands without fail, and do nothing but churn out kids. 'Have a life?' Wha dya mean, that IS their life.

So, you defend his child molestation? Is that what you are saying? Or do you need to know how deep young Duggar plunged into his sisters' pussies before you decide whether or not it is bad? Really, are RWNJS that detached from reality? Damn... Hint: any touching without consent is molestation, plain and simple.

The admitted "something" happened, have we gotten the details yet?

If all this happened when he was 14, it is different from if it happened when he was in his late teens or 20's. I guess your feelings of compassion for juvenile defendants ends when you can score political points.

But keep this up, its typical for progressives to have to expand on something they see as political advantageous by overblowing the situation without further facts.

No, I want to know what actually happened beyond an "inappropriate situation" in a bedroom, which is all we know about so far. Considering you are using it for political advantage, an ethical person would wait until the had more information as well.

And what the hell is a RWNJS?

And for you last point, if he was indeed 14 at the time, he couldn't consent to the situation either.

...No. No real intervention was taken. That is a bald-faced lie....
If it is not true, then it is a mistake on my part - and an honest one, at that - rather than a 'bald-faced lie'.

...Josh Duggar was sent to a cop-friend of the family, a cop who buried the police report and who is currently sitting in jail with a 56-year sentence for: Child Porn. So much for the theme of intervention....
The fact that he was 'sent' to the police relieves all civilians concerned of any further responsibility (ethical or legal) with respect to reporting the incident(s).

What happens from that point forward is a police matter.

The cop's own troubles are immaterial.

..."Christians" are more than willing to forgive their own, but G-d forbid they should forgive a non-believer for anything...
Your personal opinion is noted, although it has no bearing upon the matter.

...The Duggar parents buried this so that their family could make oodles of money off TLC. Greed was the main factor here....
Perhaps.

It is almost certain that any reasonable person would consider greed as ONE motivating factor.

I suggest, however, that an urgent desire to protect one's own child is ANOTHER motivating factor.

As to which of those two 'likely suspects' was the PRIMARY motivating factor, well, that would involve climbing inside the father's head, now, wouldn't it?

I can't do that.

And neither can you.

...Is greed a Christian virtue?
Of course not.

That is, in all probability, more commonly considered a virtue amongst the Godless and Soulless.

IMHO.
