Mainly because "responsibility" isn't even in their vocabulary, so they can't possibly participate in hypocrisy by being irresponsible.
pitiful

Oh please.

Tacit in the thread title is the presumption that liberals cannot be hypocrites. Otherwise, exposing the hypocrisy of republicans or conservatives would be a meaningless, standalone statement. It only gains significance through juxtaposition, which in this case is implied.

This isn't my first rodeo, junior.

Actually, the whole reason this thread is ironic is that Republicans have always prided themselves on being the party of "Morality" while the Democrats are not. So when they caught doing exactly what they say the Democrats do it's both ironic and makes them hypocrites.

I don't expect you to realize such things.

Sort of, but not quite, my point (as an aside, you correctly note that Democrats are by no means a party of morality).

You hit on the essence of my statement, however. Pointing out conservative and/or Republican hypocrisy is only meaningful when held to a lack of hypocrisy by liberals/Democrats. Tacit in the thread title was the implication that Republicans are hypocrites and Democrats are not - otherwise, this story is completely meaningless.

And here you hit on the essence the bigger issue. You seem to buy into the notion that Republicans can be hypocrites and Democrats can not.

What you fail you realize is that the only way to not be a hypocrite is to utterly lack principle. People will ALWAYS, at least ONCE in their lives, act in a manner dischordant to the guiding principles they have for their lives.

Thusly, the only way to not be a hypocrite is to not have guiding principles.

Are you suggesting that Democrats have no guiding principles? If so, I agree.
