Rep Power: 161 | | | Independence Day CANCELED Yep ... so many fireworks displays canceled, they are even considering canceling ours, fuckers. You know, if they let the wild fires burn more they wouldn't have to worry about this shit .... but no! ... morons keep putting out every single wild fire and then wonder why nature isn't clearing away the damned dead matter that burns with even tiny sparks.
I'm annoyed by this, are you? |

as for letting fires burn.....depends on the undergrowth and the population of the area

They used to have them on a little island on Lake Erie. Not sure where they are this year, I usually go home for the 4th.
Sorry yours were cancelled, nothing in nearby towns?

Sorry yours were cancelled, nothing in nearby towns? They haven't canceled all of them yet, but they are talking about it. Most of ours are over the Sound or Lake Union, the only fires we get are from idiots who don't know how to do it right in areas where more idiots who don't know much about nature live (yuppies specifically, the "cool" rich folk). I may find out if Gates is doing a show this year and ask him for a charity ticket. |

Of course it's being cancelled. I'll bet his plans are low-keyed as well...because he despises it.

Sorry yours were cancelled, nothing in nearby towns? Meh, just go to Cedar Point if yours ever get canceled.

And I'll bet he throws into his fourth of jUly speech how we should be grateful to the Muslims of the world, and welcome them to our bosoms and appreciate their "cultural" differences. (You know, the honor killings, the wife beatings, the hiding behind children.....)

Rep Power: 207 | | | I don't know about you, but I haven't heard of a major fire occurring because of fireworks in my entire life.
Now my ex would regularly catch the bank of the umatilla on fire and once burnt up a wheat field...but our big fires are caused by lightning. And the occasional arsonist.
