An Open Letter to America; A Lament In Futility.

Dear America*,

I must address this, as you are doing something quite irrational. Allen Ginsberg once talked to you of the dangers of the bomb, and you ignored him. This is just a friendly reminder. Your government does not respect you as much as you think. Your voting machines have too much power. Do you know who Diebold is? He seems to be your president. His friends Exxon-Mobil, Lockheed-Martin and Halliburton are his cabinet. This Bush fellow, he seems to like his oil. He gives me the blues. People blame their government, they say things like "It's not me, it's him!" and "Don't blame me, I voted for the other guy." Well it is every bit your fault. You've killed us all. Stop driving your cars, stop bombing religions, stop stealing oil, stop burning food. You're all a bunch of babies. Why do you still debate? "This guy is good!" "This man is black!" "This guy's a woman!" Does it matter? You're electing demi-Gods rather than electing your neighbour. You're breaking the elf-man's heart, don't you know he's just trying to help? And what about these people who try to enter your country to help you out? You brush them off into the sea. You let the poor die in your waiting rooms and your sons get dropped like bombs millions of miles away. You cry out things like "They're saving freedom!" and "Get behind our boys!" But why? They rape and pillage like vikings. What do you expect? They are the dogs of war, given guns and drugs and bombs and bombs and bombs. Socialism is still bad, Capitalism is still good. Can you tell me when this will change? You're all hopeless anyway. FOXnews still runs your life, whether you like it or not. Wolf Blizter is just Bill O'Reilly in duisguise. When will you get your democracy in the mail? I hope you shipped with UPS. And what about your religion? Is it really that important? Stop beating down my door! Go read a book, and not the Bible. You killed Vonnegut, you pushed him. Chomsky will leave soon, if you don't stop this madness. Stop this War on Drugs, what are you fighting? This War on Terror is turning all of you into terrorists. Put down your suicide belt. America, this is all fuitile. You won't talk of this, you won't debate about it. This never works, you'll kill us all. I will leave you with this advice; get rid of your FBI, CIA, NSA, FEMA. Don't listen to your Supreme Court,GOP or Democratic Party. Stop electing your representatives, because they don't represent you. Stop taking everything offensively, we're just trying to help. Nationialism isn't that great and God doesn't care.
Life is no way to treat an animal.

Signed,
The Rest of the World.

Geez, is there any industry, individual you didn't hit. We are not 'to take offense', yet lamebrains are posting crap like this?

Get a life. Most of us are well aware of abuses of business, politicians, and others. We take offense at those that can't do anything but try to tell US what we should and shouldn't do.

You are an example of someone who's unnecessary to the world conversation.

Worse than the hundreds of people pointless debating on which useless candidate to vote for? Worse than the people who complain about how bad their government is, yet they make no effort to change it? This place is the HOME to irrelevant conversation.

Actually many of us work for the candidates we support. Many also try to frame the debate for change, though not necessarily for the 'change' candidate this time, who is now flip flopping and 'clarifying' his positions.

IF you are in the US do something. If you are NOT, then rant all you want, don't be surprised when you are deemed irrelevant.

So what? You work for a candidate? Want a high five? Barack Obama has the right idea, but he won't do fuck all. He is essentially a centrist, and all of his 'radical' ideas are almost conservative by, say, European, Scandinavian or Canadian standards. John McCain is a loose cannon with detrimental economic policies and apocalyptic war strategies. By 2000, 2004 standards, John McCain will most certainly win. Diebold has given the election to George Bush twice, and there's no indication that the buck will stop there.

As for me? No, I'm not a US citizen. I'm Canadian. I thought you might be welcome to some outside opinion, but obviously you've learned NOTHING in the past 8 years. Your country's actions affect the entire world, you therefore have no right to call me irrelevant because of my geographic position. I am trying to do something good for the US, and for the world. I'm a member of Amnesty International, and I've been trying to campaign my government for several important changes in policy. As for America? I don't know what to do. You are a rogue cannon, and I feel as helpless as the rest of the world does. You wonder why terrorist hijack planes to slam into your buildings and kill your civilians? They're as frustrated as the rest of the world and insistent on policy change. Admittedly, the way in which they attempt to stop you are disastrous and evil, but I refuse to see how America has so been so blind to the cause and have focused to obsessively with effect.

Interesting how 'fuck' comes up when you are questioned. Really, why do you think you have jack sh*t to say about what we do? We fight it out amongst ourselves, as do you in your country.

Do you really want Americans getting involved in your political process? Seems to me there is plenty to worry about up North.

Most Americans would change the system if they knew how to do it.

But the system is designed in such a way that the way it works in reality has nothing to do with the way we are lead to believe it works.

Voting doesn't change a damned thing when there is only ONE PARTY in office.

The hippies tried to change the way the world worked. It truly requires a change in mindset about what is truly important.

The morons (they'll be the ones with tee-shirts which read: "He who dies with the most toys win" ) are still whining about how evil they are.

Many young people still have no clue what total bullshit they've been fed about that movement.

The rightwingers think the left wing in in charge. The lefties think the right winger are in charge.

Meanwhile the people who are really pulling the strings are nearly invisible.

Maybe you should changed the "delivery" of your opinion....instead of pointing blame and assuming that the people you address are all brainwashed dumbasses....

Gee, isn't that funny. Imagine how Iraqis felt when bombs started getting dropped on their heads. But this person was just oh-so-evil and wrote a letter. Leave it to the nationalist wing to make asses out of themselves constantly.
