Genetics and monogamy

Weird stuff!

Quote:
Men are more likely to be devoted and loyal husbands when they lack a particular variant of a gene that influences brain activity, researchers announced yesterday -- the first time that science has shown a direct link between a man's genes and his aptitude for monogamy.

Wonder if this will become standard testing for marriage licenses! Wonder how it affects females carrying the allele. Weird!

An aptitude for monogamy, eh?

I so want to be part of that test study.

If I fail, I'll just try try try again.

Come on Professor, just give me one more chance.

I'm sure that this time I can be monogamous.

What were the demographics of this study?

I found an article on PNAS which seems to oppose this.
Mammalian monogamy is not controlled by a single gene

2. Laurent Excoffier, and
3. Gerald Heckel
