U.N. Chief Seeks More Climate Change Leadership

Quote:
VALENCIA, Spain, Nov. 17 — Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, describing climate change as “the defining challenge of our age,” released the final report of a United Nations panel on climate change here on Saturday and called on the United States and China to play “a more constructive role.”

United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon described climate change as “the defining challenge of our age.”
His challenge to the world’s two greatest greenhouse gas emitters came just two weeks before the world’s energy ministers meet in Bali, Indonesia, to begin talks on creating a global climate treaty to replace the Kyoto Protocol, which expires in 2012.

This would be absolutely hillarious if there not so many bleeting sheep out there who actually believe they're going to change something by signing a worthless piece of paper.

Next up: the "Let's Change the order of the planets treaty."

Perhaps the paper would not be so worthless if only the prez would sign it.

But, he, like you, are determined to expire in ignorance and blame everyone but yourselves for the dilemmas you've created for others as well as yourselves.

Nope. I have a simple question: What is the actual cause of global warming?

When that question gets answered with some facts supported by evidence, I will be more than happy to support any sound efforts that can be made, if any.

What I will not support is "global warming is man-made cuz we say so, so we have to do something" followed by running around spraying the bush with no idea who or what is in it.

If, and this is a big IF, the "consensus" group started actually implementing some of their ideas ie pumping iron into the ocean...and this is actually being talked about, have they thought out how these could adversely affect our environment?
