These types of weather patterns and sun activity do run in roughly 30 year cycles. In 2000 scientists were predicting an entirely snow free Europe.

Eight of the 10 hottest years on record occurred in the Nineties.

Average global temperature increase. That fact that you don't know that is startling. This does not mean that it doesn't get cold, in fact, colder than usual in some places, because of the fact that weather isn't a simple simple system. That you think it is is your fallacy.
