| Freedom Writers This movie tells a terrific story of a teacher who really wants to teach and finds a way to accomplish that objective, even in the most challenging of classrooms in a LA public school. That her students graduated from high school and college (many of whom were the first in their families to do so) is a modern-day miracle in itself when you consider that these kids had simply been written off by the other members of the teaching staff who felt they were not worth their time/attention/efforts.
I hope there will be a sequel. The movie leaves you wondering what happened to these students after they graduated, and you also have a curiosity about Erin Gruwell as well, since her dedication to teaching cost her her marriage.
