@Marie188: In Washington, a "wonk" is slang for someone with a significant amount of inside knowledge (the word being "know" spelled backwards) about the town's movers and shakers. A pundit is simply a commentator.
By the way, I don't claim to have any special knowledge; I just read a lot.
Is it ok to please ask, what is a Wonky Pundit, or how did you come up with the name? Your nic name sometimes sticks in my head for some reason, lol. It's catchy, lol.
