Did Obama FlopFlop on Afghanostan because he boy dropped out of the elections?
No secret that Obama was all for the War in Afghanistan as recently as August 2009.

The only thing that's changed since then is that his preferred candidate Dr. Abdullah lost to Kharzai. Didn't Obama send some of his campaign people to help Abdullah?

Why would Abdullah's loss make Obama change his mind on Afghanistan?

Obama never intended to withdraw from Afghanistan. He positioned himself as being more hawkish than the rest of the pack during the debates. Personally, I think it's hilarious he tossed his base under the bus.

Sorry, but I can't emotionally invest myself in the machinations of the political class in this country. The White House is basically a franchise rented in four year intervals by the special interests. This time around we have Wall Street and the Zbig internationalist crowd - a group of reactionaries fully capable of making the US a failed state or starting a world war.
