60-100. Considering they were conservatives, that's alot. I imagine it was because of President's Day.
Yeah... most of the conservatives are busy working when protests are going on that's why their numbers are few... plus most have families and would rather spend time with them instead of time on a street or in front of a building holding a sign or chanting some dumb slogan... especially since these protests don't do anything..

In Seattle most protests occur on weekends (Saturday and Sunday) because everyone is working on weekdays ... even holidays. So try again.

Well in the midst of the beginnings of these protest, the Chicago revolt was brought up by CNBC. The protest continue to grow and multiply.

350-400 in Mesa; 750 in Overland Park, KS:

Investor's Business Daily: Anti-Stimulus Protests Sprout Up

Quote:
Anti-Stimulus Protests Sprout Up

BY DAVID HOGBERG
INVESTOR'S BUSINESS DAILY
Posted 2/20/2009
Holding signs reading "Stimulate Business, Not Government," "Families Against Porkulus" and "Say No To Generational Theft," protesters opposed to the $787 billion stimulus package have been mobilizing across the country.

It started last Monday in Seattle, then moved Tuesday to Denver, where President Obama signed the stimulus bill into law. That was followed by another one in Mesa, Ariz., where Obama unveiled a mortgage rescue plan.

Another protest was planned for Saturday outside the office of Rep. Dennis Moore in Overland Park, Kan. The Democrat voted for the stimulus. His office didn't return calls seeking comment.

A New Populism?
As unemployment soars and anger over Wall Street bailouts mounts, public outrage will seek an outlet. Populism could go in many directions — and could easily ebb when the economy revives.

But if it takes shape as an anti-spending movement, it could revive conservatives much as the 1970s tax protests did.....

The economy that the new adminstration inherited is a nightmare. That there will be a huge groundswell of anti-tax anti-government acitivism is a pipe dream. I don't know what you're smoking.

Nonetheless, we will pull out of this. We will do it with a bi-partisan effort.

Where are all those 'patriots' who respect the three branches of government?

Check out the 5/50, not so sure, not with what the current administration is implementing faster than can be comprehended.

C'mon Annie. You're a conservative ideologue. No matter what this adminstration does you'll criticise it.

C'mon SD, you really haven't read any of my posts prior to the current administration to know my political ideologies. You can interpret however you like, but like RS you're bringing little to the table other than your interpretations, wrong though they be.

Looks like the White House isn't too comfortable with talk of revolt:

Rant by CNBC's Rick Santelli puts pundit at odds with Obama administration -- chicagotribune.com

Quote:
Rant by CNBC's Rick Santelli puts pundit at odds with Obama administration

Phil Rosenthal

Media

February 22, 2009

...The trick will be for Rick the Commentator to not become Joe the Plumber, exhausting the interest of even those who support him. But the fact that White House press secretary Robert Gibbs came down hard on Santelli when the subject came up at Friday's briefing speaks to the traction the so-called Rick's Revolt could gain.

"It's tremendously important … for people who rant on cable television to be responsible and understand what it is they're talking about," Gibbs said. "I feel assured that Mr. Santelli doesn't know what he's talking about."

Gibbs invited Santelli to read the administration's plan, even offering to pop for coffee—decaf. Santelli would later respond that he prefers tea. This is a photo op so vivid it's not necessary for anyone to actually show up for the cameras for us all to see it.

Santelli, who at one point Thursday made a comparison to communist Cuba, is invoking the American ideal of individualism.

"Maybe I could have chosen some words better, but I think at the end of the day, what this boils down to is you have to treat everybody fairly," he said the next day on NBC's "Today."

The Obama administration is invoking the American ideal that says united we stand and divided we fall.

The common ground is that everyone agrees the housing market and economy are a mess, people are hurting and no one knows how it will turn out, which means there's territory for a budding pundit to claim as his own.

They do work if done correctly. The obama team pulled everyone out of the gutter to vote.

750-850 yesterday in Kansas!?! Indeed. People are mad and frightened for their children's future.

In Schmucky Schumer’s world, these American taxpayers don’t exist. A big crowd of them gathered in Seattle this afternoon to raise their voices in opposition to the trillion-dollar, pork-filled Generational Theft Act of 2009 — which will be signed into law by the blind President “There are no no earmarks” Obama. Thanks to Zac Petersen for the photos. It took just one person — blogger Liberty Belle — to get the ball rolling. She writes: “Make no mistake, the President will be signing that bill tomorrow, I have no illusions that he will actually listen to us. BUT, maybe, just maybe we can start a movement that will snowball across the nation and get people out of their homes, meeting each other and working together to redirect this country towards its truly radical founding principles of individual liberty and freedom. Maybe people will wake up slowly at first, and then quickly when they realize the urgency needed.”
A few more pics from Seattle blogger Snark Patrol here.
And more from American Typo, including this one:

The movement continues in Denver tomorrow. Colorado Americans for Prosperity is organizing a protest countering President Obama’s visit to the city to sign the porkulus legislation at an exclusive, invitation-only event at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science in City Park. Protesters will gather at the west steps of the Capitol (Lincoln Street, between 14th and Colfax) from 11:00 a.m. to 2 p.m. Mountain time....
Looks like Nashville and NYC are trying to get something going too!

I think there's about 30 "protesters" in that pic. Denver has 2 million people.

Over 400 in Denver, earlier this week. As I said, over 700 in Kansas, yesterday. Obama will run into a shitstorm if he doesn't address the growing reaction to his Chicago Way of pushing things through. The country is NOT Chicago, and he's no Mayor Daley.
