Hey, is Lookout still around? I hope that he is ready to make good on his bet. See the link/thread below for details.

My bet: http://www.usmessageboard.com/637164-post4.html

His acceptance: http://www.usmessageboard.com/637170-post6.html

After McCain made his VP pick, I am more confident than ever. The politically savvy and campaign-experienced Joe Biden will clean the Alaskan lady’s clock in the debates. Get ready for the phrase "President Obama".

I'm just worried he'll beat her up and she'll cry like Hillary did. What kind of bounce did Hillary get when she cried? 5 pt bounce?

There's no crying in politics.

McWorse has reached new levels of desperation.

The White House staff can go ahead and safely order President Obama's official presidential stationary.

Not much. He doesn't like his conspiracy theories being put in the conspiracy theory forum nor his racist crap being put in the race forum.

What can I say?

I wish I could share your confidence. Actually, I think the Palin choice will:

-make Hillary supporter think even more about not pushing the Obama button (woman VP)
-puts a rep from the number one US oil producing state in the lime light
-bring in the sympathy vote for her baby that has Downs Sydrome
-solidifies the far right behind McFlame as she it very far right.

These are but a few of the reasons I think the Palin choice may have hurt Obama. I will be happy to see why you think it doesn't.

She won a beauty pageant. Not there that is anything wrong with that.

His wife was a model. Not that there is anything wrong with that.

McCain flanked by these two women comes across as patriarchal with a hint of dirty. Why couldn't he have picked someone like Olympia Dukakis? Or even Hillary. This woman thinks creationism should be taught alongside evolution in the classroom. When the republican candidates were asked which believed in creationism I was relieved and a little proud that McCain did not raise his hand. I have held oult that he would moderate in his VP pick, but to embrace someone that thinks creationism should be taught as science is a willful disregard for science.

Did you know the state of Alaska is younger than McCain?

3 WAY!

When they ask McCain if he's for drilling in Alaska, he'll say, "No, my wife might get jealous!"

(ok, lame joke, sorry..)
