Ryan, Issa and other House Republicans voted for an amendment in 2009 to cut $1.2 billion from State operations, including funds for 300 more diplomatic security positions. Under Ryan’s budget, non-defense discretionary spending, which includes State Department funding, would be slashed nearly 20 percent in 2014, which would translate to more than $400 million in additional cuts to embassy security.

The testimony of Andrew Woods was even more disastrous for democrats. Actually, more democrats voted for reduced state department funding than republicans. The problem goes deeper than merely the funding. It really is the allocation of the funding they got. The funding went to support the bureaucracy of the state department first.

However, if the royal obama regime and the corrupt state department had told the truth about the attacks on the Benghazi compound, they might have gotten additional funding. Instead they hid the increasing activity because it didn't fit with the narrative that Al Quaeda was knocked on its heels.

How does the GOP make anything happen considering they have no power? Funny, they get blamed for everything.
