Rep Power: 21 | | | Some pics. of us where I live in Alaska... Me, kid Sammy, dog Clem, local watering hole, school, house, Mt. McKinley or Denali Mt. I live about 50mils for Denali Park. and just a couple others....I just went out and took these about an hour ago 4:30. Beautiful up here right now, but as you can see we're already losing the leaves off the tress....
I live in a town of about 350 people, 500 if you add Clear Airforce Station 6mls from us, where I and a lot of people here work...

Rep Power: 15 | | | Thanks for the photos, Stephanie. I envy you living with such beauty, especially for all the wildlife you must see. I really need to get there someday.
Did you happen to see the new show Men in Trees last night? It is a fish-out-of-water show set in Alaska. It's a comedy, but I was wondering if it was anywhere near an accurate portrayal of life in Alaska.

I figured it's been over two yrs since I've known you all, so I would finally reveal myself, even though I hate to have my picture taken....
I was pleased how well the picture's turned out...I'm far from being a photographer.

:mm: | Thanks for the pictures. Doesn't look all the different from the Pacific NW this time of year.
What kind of camera did you use for those? The diamond shaped flares in the first image are interesting. |

What kind of camera did you use for those? The diamond shaped flares in the first image are interesting. | As I stated earlier, I've never been great at taking picture(even thought I always thought it would be interesting to learn about it), and cameras..
But the camera I used is a Sony Digital Mavica 10x optical zoom.
It's one of those you hold with two hands, with the view finder in the center of the back....Now that tells you my experience with cameras...
It seems to me it's a fairly older camera, as we've had for about 5ys..I don't know if it makes a difference of how old the camera is..
As I said, I was surprised how well the pictures turned out..
I think what surprised me the most, was the picture of Mt.Mckinley, that was over 50mls away..
As for those diamond shaped flares, I have no idea where those came from..
