As someone who’s already seen more than 10 maned wolves in captivity and in the wild (national parks), I have to say that “a great painting of one” is the understatement of the year.

I felt like I was in front of a real maned wolf.

I put my money where my mouth is to avoid its extinction.

Each semester, I give 100 dollars to an organization dedicated exclusively to the study and preservation of the maned wolf.

I also give 200 dollars to the international organization WWF dedicated to the protection of endangered species all over the world.

It’s a small but heartfelt contribution.

As a 37 year old bachelor, with no kids, who already saw his fair share of maned wolves I can tell you I don’t do it for me.

I do it for your daughter and future grandchildren.

As I said, I just can’t conceive a world where they will have only stuffed maned wolves and linxes to admire (like the lovely family posted by Stephanie).

But I’m an optimist... I believe that in the end, life will triumph over death, good will triumph over evil and the maned wolf and the north american linx will be with us in the future... beautifying our planet for many, many centuries.

Wow... I would never have thought this animal was a wolf... it looks a lot like a red fox.

Hi Joz....
I have painted wildlife myself and feel like I'm in kindergarden playing with finger paints next to her. Hopefully we will be seeing more work from her soon. That red wolf, under good lighting, is better than a photograph. The snout actually looks like it is coming out of the canvas. What sets her apart from most is her mastery of light and shadow. When I saw the painting in person I couldn't stop looking at the mouth....the light hitting the tongue, the shadows cast...perfect!

Does she sell her paintings? I'd love to have the bottom wolf. My brother would go absolutely crazy over it.
