These young men and women that re-enlist have my deepest admiration and respect. They have given all Americans a visual display of serving a cause greater than themselves. While I'm sure there is economic security that in some small way motivates some, I would venture to guess if you asked each one of these people why they re-enislted you might get a different answer. Has anyone stopped for a moment to consider that perhaps these young people does this because they simply have a love of their country and wish to keep serving it?

Remember Bin Laden - Al Qaeda? The ones who started this mess. If this government pursued such a mission, instead of having a president and administration pursue a vendetta and bid contracts in Iraq, you'd have a flood of people enlisting for the love of their country and we wouldn't be having this argument.  |
