Presidential candidate John McCain is being hailed by the press as a genuine "American war hero" and says he has the medals to prove it.

For 5 ½ years as a POW (three of which he says were spent in solitary confinement), the U.S. Navy awarded McCain a Silver Star, a Legion of Merit for Valor, a Distinguished Flying Cross, three Bronze Stars, two Commendation medals plus two Purple Hearts and a dozen service medals.

And?

That's admirable, but he still knows nothing about the economy or the difference between shi'a and sunni.

I guess medals only matter when they're put on a right winger.......

Obama said he will raise taxes on the rich and his proposal raises taxes on the middle-class. That is scary and dangerous for the world economy!

McCain does not have such a problem. McCain has been serving his country for over 40 years and will not raise taxes on the middle-class.

Obama removed the US flag from his plane before the trip to the Mideast.

Is it a military or civilian aircraft? If it is a civilian aircraft, he has every right to remove the flag; although, I don't agree with him doing it since he is representing himself as possibly the next President of the US.
