Interesting indeed. Obviously, Scales must be a die-hard Republican now and his opinion can be summarily dismissed.

What you will find is that those who agreed with Scales initial assertions that the Army was broken will soon be implying (if not flat out stating) that Scales has only reversed his position because somehow "that moron of a president" has made him do so.

I am willing to bet we will soon hear that since Scales is retired, his opinion is no longer valid and it will degenerate from there. I have a list of posters I think will go down that road. It will be interesting to see which of them will go first.
