Short-barreled shotgun = NFA violation, BIG no-no

If they hand him over to the feds, he's fuct

He's lucky the ATF didn't do him like they did the Branch Davidians.

P.S. It'd have been nice if someone would have told this to the US government when it decided to apply for certiorari in Miller

Having to face mowing nearly two acres, and having a lwn which kills lawnmovers every damned year, I confess to a certain amount of sympathy for this guy's plight.

I don't understand what crime he committed, and the article doe NOT tell us, either.

Crappy reporting, folks.

"Keith Walendowski, 56, was charged with felony possession of a short-barreled shotgun or rifle and misdemeanor disorderly conduct while armed."

Short-barreled shotgun may seem trivial, but it isn't. NFA violations are a big fucking deal, and like I said, if he's turned over to the feds he's going to go away for a long time.

"Man shoots wife with rifle - and does NOT get arrested?"
Fla. woman attacked by fox, then shot in the leg - Yahoo! News

When lawnmower man goes to court he just has to claim ... "it was an accident! I was actually trying to shoot a snake that had crawled under the lawn mower"!

Case closed!

Of course I think that's nuts.

As long as we allow handguns to be legal (something I would change were I king, BTW) then really...what difference does it make?
