Customs and Border Protection officers seized 25 pounds of marijuana hidden in a laundry basket of wet clothes at the Douglas Port of Entry on Wednesday.
The woman, a Mexican national, was driving across the border in a late-model sedan when officers became suspicious and selected her for further inspection, said Customs Supervisor M. Carl Robinson.
The officers found two baskets of wet laundry in the back seat of the car, one of which contained the marijuana.
Both the drugs and the vehicle were seized. The woman was turned over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
