There are 5 constitutionalists on the SCOTUS. Unless Obama or one of his disciples knocks one of them off, Obama's fascist care is about to be tossed out.
I hope you're right, but I'm not nearly as confident as you seem to be.

Obamacare Has Arrived in the Supreme Court

Well all we can do now is pray these people will do the right thing for this country

what do you think about this movement to do away with elections?
I want the SCOTUS to throw Obamacare out in its entirety but will settle for the mandate parts of it.

I do not want to do away with elections. I DO want to do away with ALL ability that Congress has to dispense the taxpayer's money as benevolence or favor to any person, group, entity, or special interest. That would take care of a huge chunk of graft and corruption in Congress and also among the beneficiaries of the 'benevolence'. It would also take the problem out of lobbying and campaign contributions.

I hope they declare Obamacare un-Constitutional, I mean mandating people and employers about healthcare insurance,,come on!
BUT in the same breath, something has to be done about the out-of-control costs of health care. Tort reform would only efect the pricing by 2% or less. The cost of health care is a contributor to our staggering economy.
According to the Kaiser Foundation, health care insurance costs have gone up 113% from 2001 to 2011 and it's not just because of Obamacare as the costs have been at this steady rate long before Obamacare was even thought about.

Health-care costs soar at an unsustainable pace

Health-care cost trends in this country are unsustainable and are driving a whole range of major challenges, from our growing federal and state budget problems to the competitiveness of U.S. business in international markets to the decline in the economic power of the middle and working classes.

Take a look. The first chart, below, comes from a Kaiser Foundation report just released today. It found that health-insurance premiums had risen 113 percent between 2001 and 2011, and worker contributions to health insurance had risen by 131 percent. Family health-insurance premiums rose by 9 percent alone in 2011.

The second chart, based on the most recent data from the 34-nation Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development, documents the disadvantage this country faces internationally. We do not, by most measures, have the world’s greatest health-care system, but we undoubtedly have the most expensive. These trends constitute a major “tax” on our nation’s productivity, competitiveness and quality of life.

It's all up to Kennedy.

Sotomoyor, Ginsberg, Breyer and Kagan are all whackadoo NeoFascists who insist the State has the ability to direct every conceivable human activity under the "Good and Commerce" Clause.

Roberts, Alito, Thomas and Scalia actually take their oath to uphold the Constitution seriously.
Ginsberg and Kagan are avowed Marxists. Sotomayor is a ****ing retard, an Affirmative Action appointment.

Kennedy often leans left, but he is a constitutionalists and will vote to toss fascist care out.

I hope Thomas gets to write for the majority because that's the opinion that will be used to overturn the entire Progressive Agenda

If the government can make you purchase car insurance, pay into your social security retirement fund, medicare insurance, etc etc etc.., fining someone who does not purchase healthcare insurance is as legal as any of the aforementioned.
Of course when that person needs health care services the taxpayers will pick up the tab just like they do now!

Somewhere will be the statement as to exactly what the court is asked to consider. Probably the central issue is the mandate. How far can the FedGov go in telling people what to do? A secondary issue might be the penalty, that the administration swears now is a tax, although Obama swore it wasn't.
In Lopez the court finally showed some kind of resolve on where Commerce is limited. The other cases involving commerce aren't as promising.
The oral arguments ought to be entertainining. I can hear Scalia now. And yes Kagan ought to recuse. But won't.

I don't have a freakin clue what will happen. But there are alot of factors at play here.

You are assuming there will be no changes in the Court before Obamacare is heard. A Constituional Justice could die of natural causes. He could become too sick to fulfill his responsibilities. Some Progressive lunatic could assassinate one specifically so Obama could pick a new justice. There are hundreds of possible outcomes that can effect the make up of the court and allow Obama another pick before this case is heard.

You are also assuming that 5 to 4 is guaranteed to fall on the conservative side. Justice Kennedy is unreliable. This is a historic fact.

We don't know how the question at issue will be framed. Will we be looking at the individual mandates or the entire law? If it's struck down will be struck down in part or completely?

This is precisely why we the people need to be diligent. Because the Courts can and do make bad decisions. Dread Scott for one. I would argue Roe v. Wade as another. More recently Kelo v. New London

This law never should have been passed and now we have to rely on an untrustworthy court to preserve our Constitution. This is far from a good thing.
