Thanks for an article from a morally bankrupt Euro Leftist who "is mostly known to the non-academic audience for co-authoring Fashionable Nonsense (also known as Intellectual Impostures) with Alan Sokal. Just one of the bizarre nuggets from the article: "If the US had been more realistic it would not have escalated the Vietnam war in the early 60’s, nor would it have invaded Iraq in 2003. Besides, realism would certainly lead the US to drop its constant support for Israel..." Apparently we should have let the Communists over-run SE Asia without a fight, thrown out the Red carpet for the Soviets, and said to hell with the leadership of JFK. Moreover, we should have let Iraq continue to defy UNSC resolutions, shoot at our aircraft, and defecate on justice and the Iraqi people with the oil for palaces program. Further, we should drop our "constant" support for Israel and replace it with balanced compassion for Hamas who is pledged to destroy that country. If Bricmont had his way, America would develop surrender to totalitarian killers into high art. Bricmont, Chomsky's pal, is one of the most twisted Leftists that I have seen posted on this board. His bleating is extreme even for a place where opinions on international affairs are as consequence free and irrelevant as Belgium.

Only an "elite" with disposable time on his hands come up with this nonsense.
