Putin did not even make the top 20. Yet he suppresses political parties and the media in Russia. Russian provincial governors that used to be elected are now appointed by the Kremlin. Journalists that have criticized Putin's regime have been shot dead by unknown assailants. When politically confronted by Russian businessman Mikhail Khodorkovsky, Putin stole his business, Yukos, which produced about 20 percent of Russian oil. Then Putin and his FSB cronies arrested Khodorkovsky and sent him to prison in Siberia.
The number of dictators in that list that we either put INTO power, currently support and subsidize, or do absolutely NOTHING about while we demonize or threaten OTHERS that AREN'T in the list, is staggering.
