I think that if you were to check the recent past on USMB, you'll see multiple threads on all of the big news stories of the day. Paranoia doesn't become you.

When people began arming themselves and threatening violence (which the wingnuts, and note, I didn't say conservatives, have done), it's not hard to predict violence. I think rather than blaming liberals, you may want to look at the far right of the conservative movement.

Some conservatives have been cheering as these people armed themselves with the latest assault weaponry. I've got to think that you KNOW that on the far left AND the far right exists some mentally unbalanced people. Add to that the Limbaughs and Coulters dehumanizing their poliltical opponents, declaring they deserved to be killed, die and other horrible stuff (while the conservatives cheered even more), you cannot be surprised that this sort of thing has begun happening.

The only violence I'm hearing comes from the left, who insist that anyone who dares to assemble for reasons they don't approve of are dangerous.

Hat tip to AllieBaba for the thread. I tried to get ahead of the ideologues on the last "crazy bastard does something crazy" story. No matter what people will try and take advantage of things like this but it's important for the rational folks to speak up.

Someone noted above there was no mention of political party in a paticular article and that was true. We do know now that the Pentagon shooter was a Democrat. Here is why that matters... oh yeah, it does not matter at all. Why? Because he was fucking crazy. No party or leader or ideology or writer or radio host or TV personality is responsible for the actions of a lone nutbar crazy.

Soldier arrested on child molestation charges

images SIERRA VISTA- Sierra Vista police have arrested and charged a U.S. Army soldier with child molestation.

Glenn Cornell Worley, a staff sergeant at Fort Huachuca, was arrested Tuesday and is being held without bond.

Investigators say Worley had been having a sexual relationship with a 12-year-old girl since December.

The girl's family, according to officers, is a friend of Worley's.

News 4 has confirmed the girl's guardian called police Monday night after finding suspicious text messages on her cell phone.

Police say the girl admitted to having a sexual relationship with the suspect after being confronted by her guardian

ENTERPRISE -- A judge has set bond at $5.4 million for Army sergeant charged with 36 counts of possession of obscene matter.

District Judge Paul Sherling set the multi-million-dollar bond for 30-year-old Dustin Ray Hogan following a recommendation by District Attorney Tom Anderson.

Authorities arrested Hogan Jan. 28 on charges of second-degree possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and felony possession of a controlled substance.

But at Hogan's initial court appearance on the drug-related charges on Jan. 29, District Attorney Gary McAliley told the court that during execution of a search warrant at Hogan's home, police discovered a computer with 18 videos involving child pornography.

McAliley told the court the videos in Hogan's home involved Hogan and two children age 8 and 10 engaged in deviant sexual acts.
