Subliminal Messaging on TV

This is an entirely true story, however I have no way to prove it. I know no one will believe me, because no one ever has. But, I have to post this, because it was and still is the craziest and scariest thing I ever seen in my entire life. I know people are going to think I'm a jackass, but imagine if it was you who this happenned too. And understand I was only 16.

About 5 maybe 6 years ago I was 16 and hanging out at my friends house. My friend was 16 also and his younger brother was their who was 14 or 15. They had recorded a porno (yes a porn we were 16 year old boys what do you expect) from what I'm pretty sure was the playboy channel. It was just recorded straight from tv it wasn't a bought tape or anything. Well, anyway about 15 minutes in too the video the screen would go black and all this crazy stuff would pop up real fast for about 10 seconds; then it would return to the porn with no problem for the rest of the tape. However, if you paused it right before this happened and kept hitting the pause button, which essentially is a screen by screen viewing you could read what it said. their were about a total of 33 screens of messages.

Now the things it said that I could remember accuratly was Elvis is alive, the bombs are dropping, japan is our enemy, and aliens exist. Their was more stuff said mostly pertaining to politics, fear, and for some reason that I still don't understand is the stuff about elvis and aliens. However, this is only the beginning of the situation. What was really crazy was the way it was done.

It would show a single line at the top of the screen
then the message
then a line at the top and middle of the screen at the same time
then the message again
then a line at the top, middle, and bottom at the screen all at once
finally the message again
Then it would repeat the whole process with a new message and the lines would be going a different direction (like diagonal or vertical) and they would be a different color. I don't know if someone with a degree in psychology would know why it was like that or not.

I know that this story sounds crazy and I know I wouldn't believe it if I heard it, but it is entirely true. I know you are probably wondering what happenned to the tape, well it got taped over by me and it was the stupidest thing I ever done. I will always feel regret for doing that and will never know why I did it, but I don't think it would have helped to have it anyway.I would like to formally apolgize formally to society for erasing the tape, because it could have helped prove something. I think mostly part of the reason I erased it was because it was on a porno and who would believe a guy who brings in a porno to the news station talking about subliminal messaging. I always thought that's the reason they put it in porn, because people would be to embarressed to tell anyone about it; if for some reason the messages were discovered.

I know this is alot to believe, but I promise it is true. If anyone else has experienced anything like this or understands anything about it I would like to know please.

Most of the propaganizing messages on TV don't have to be hidden by electonic techniques.

The shows themselves are propaganda.

They don't NEED subliminal advertising. Many people are stupid enough to actually believe and obey all the garbage thy show without it.

There are subliminals all around us. Product placement in TV and Movies is one of the most effective. If you are aware of them they will stand out and you will likely disregard them. IF you are not aware of them there is a decent chance you will absorb them. But, no mental technique I know of will make you do what you are opposed to.

So, don't worry about dressing wierd. It aint subliminals, its just that you have poor taste.

Product placement is not subliminal, it's not hidden at all. Nothing has ever made me buy a product based on seeing it nor on anothers opinion of it, I try it for myself. Only the brain dead will buy something just because it's 'endorsed' in any way.

It is subliminal because no one calls attention to it. It is simply there. The more you see or hear something, the more you will identify with it.

Of course it helps to shave your head so the tinfoil hat makes better contact...

*rae* Conspiracies are nutty, and that just proves it. That's called iconography, we associate types of products with brand names because our minds like icons, why do you think Windoze made such an explosive appearance into the computer market? Still not subliminal. Of course TV does seem to cater to the mindless, but anyone with a brain will base a products value on how well it works for what it is intended not just because they see it. By your logic ALL advertising is subliminal, but none of it fits into the definition. Also, subliminal advertising doesn't work, no hypnosis does.

The medium is TV and the signal is your favorite [fill in the blank] star handling an identifiable object without calling specific attention to it. Call it anything you want, semantics doesn't make it less true.

Yeah, I know that but that isn't subliminal messaging; it's society making people conform.
What I saw was messages of fear, which everyone knows we live in a society where we are supposed to be scared.
Just as Bush said if this bailout doesn't happen it will end the world. Look how they always use such dire words to describe the economy, and they do the same thing when some says to pull out of Iraq.
People wanting to dress like everyone else and fit in isn't subliminal messaging it's human nature. Also, not everyone buys into that hype. What I'm talking about is like George Orwell's 1984 they keep us in a constant state of fear.

It cracks me up when we think that advertising only works on stupid people.

That is the best example of why it actually works and corporations spend trillions of dollars on it.

Because we all (myself included) think it doesn't work.

Now ask youselves this...if it didn't work do you really think that the money bags spending so much money on it would continue to do it?

I, for example, STILL buy Hellman's Mayonaise.

Obviously, because I know advertising doesn't work on ME, (I'm way too smart to be fooled, it's just that I like Hellmans enough to pay more for it,m right?) just on stupid people.

All other things being equal, people WILL buy a name brand, folks.

Marketing works.

I don't buy any name brands, and I know subliminal advertising conspiracies are bullshit. It's more for the vanity and arrogance to buy brand names and less to do with the advertising, look at Apple Computers, their whole company hinges on being 'the coolest'.

Well I saw what I saw so whatever just thught I'd say something about it.

I have been suffering from mind control. Dont try to tell me that it doesnt exist obviously you are not familar with the work of Joseph Mengele. Or how about Operation Paperclip where the US took in a lot of nazi people into the Military Industrial complex. Where they worked on mind control and the propelling of rockets. Hitler said that mind control would be how the world could be dominated. And exactly this is taking place more kids are being given pychotropic medicine being falsely diagnosed. Have you people ever read about cell phone towers and RFID chips, what about eugenics. The elite of the world are doing everything in there power to pervert and dehumanize us. They are trying to seperate us into categories that they design by covert ops. The news networks are controlled and biased into neglecting what really matters about this world. They try to embarass us into thinking we cant change. Well Im going to tell you we can change this world and I seek to help bring about just that. Fuck a toliterian society control grid that they want us to live in. Do we really want credit cards in place of our money system which seems to be failing on pupose cause of the federal reserve PRIVATE banking instituion. They use subliminal messaging to advert our eyes to the real problems ahead and in the current situation.

Ha, with the way the economy is right now, I have been buying the store brands of items when they are available. I can't tell a difference, but I would think things like mayo (which I don't use) would be one place you wouldn't want to comprimise.


Now if they only sold generic gasoline!
