Let's re-visit Kent State!

Let's go, comrades!
Liberals, the "peaceful" non-commies:

"The way the national press tells it, Kent State University was an idyllic Shangri-La of contemplation until the moment of the shooting. The New York Times of the following day explained that "until recently the school's most serious demonstration was a 1958 panty raid on two women's dormitories." But the fact is that the killings on the campus were the predictable result of almost two years of Communist agitation by such terrorist gangs as Students for a Democratic Society.

"For instance, in the fall of 1968, Kent State was treated to two appearances by Mark Rudd, the S.D.S. Ieader who had led the seizure of campus buildings earlier that year at Columbia University in New York. Another frequent visitor was Bernardine Dohrn, an S.D.S. official who calls herself a "revolutionary Communist," and who according to James Michener, in Kent State,* told the students: "They've shot blacks in Orangeburg, South Carolina, and they're certainly going to shoot whites here."

"Members of the staff at the regional S.D.S. office in Cleveland constantly made the short trip to Kent, where they propagandized and recruited. A student revolutionary told Michener: "We established our communes in three Ohio cities, one in Columbus, two in Akron, two in Cleveland. The idea was to teach severe discipline. Every single decision—was a girl member entitled to buy an ice cream cone?—was decided by group discussion. The object was to produce revolutionaries programmed to obey orders, even if they involved severe personal sacrifice or death. You surrendered all personal money, idiosyncrasies and will power, assured that you would come out of the experience with total dedication."

And these are the people in DC now.
Gosh, it makes you proud to be American, doesn't it?
Kent State

1. Kent State Massacre

2. Alcohol

3. Alcohol

Wasn't there another even in our history when when some rambunctious citizens threw snowballs at soldiers and the soldiers opened fire on them and killed several of them?

Fucking protesters deserved it!

First of all, what happened to copyright rules about NOT posting entire long pieces.

Second? No. Let's not 'revisit' Kent State by engaging in revisionist history.

You know, this one time in Afghanistan, one of our platoons was pulling out of a village and there were a bunch of kids standing around and waving, when all of a sudden, a grenade came flying through the air and landed on the back humvee. The gunner ducked, it exploded, and then he got up on his gun and saw the crowd and did nothing.

That's the difference between professional soldiers and the weekend warriors at state.

I am sure those guardsmen were sufficiently justified in gunning down a bunch of college students though. I mean, they were throwing stuff at them!

If we are to accept the author's credibility, then he raises a much bigger problem for you right wing pea brains...

Conservative columnist Alan Stang, in a Southern Mercury article, "Republican Party: Red From the Start", sees a communist conspiracy in the Republican party of the mid-19th century. He alleges that the 1848 revolutionaries in Europe were communists and that some of these revolutionaries came to America after the failed 1848 revolution to perpetrate some type of communist agenda in the United States. Stang states:

... Lee and Jackson did not fully comprehend what they were fighting. Had this really been a "Civil" War, rather than a secession, they would and could have easily seized Washington after Manassas and hanged our first Communist President and the other war criminals."

Another quote is:

So, again, the Republican Party did not "go wrong." It was rotten from the start. It has never been anything but red. The characterization of Republican states as "red states" is quite appropriate.

REPUBLICAN PARTY, RED FROM THE START by Alan Stang

There was a "sniper" at Kent State? With what, the world's worst aim? All those soldiers and how many did "the liberal" hit? What? NONE!

That entire thing was just made up.

You know what's funny, Pat Buchanan on Morning Joe this morning talking about all those "violent" liberals. And the examples he gave. Anywhere from 19 to 45 years ago.

People rioting after "Rodney King":

The attacks on the crowd during Bloody Sunday were the fault of "liberals" marching.

Then there were the gays rioting in San Francisco. And why were they rioting? Oh, it was silly, really. Seems a disgruntled Christian family man was angry at the mayor and a gay assembly man. So he went into the men's bathroom on the first floor, opened the window, went outside and dropped in a gun in a bag, went back inside and shot the gay and the mayor four times each and twice in the head. All the mayor had was a wife and five children.
The police were chastised for wearing "Free Dan White" buttons and he was freed from prison after only 4 and a half years. But hey, he killed a gay.
Now, truly ironic. After he got out, the same people who wanted him free, didn't want him to live by them. He was chased out of the very communities who celebrated him killing a gay. Eventually, he committed suicide. But not soon enough by about 5 years.

Timothy McVeigh was nothing. The guy shooting at the holocaust museum. The murdered doctor. The recorded death threats. All nothing.
All those people murdered by the right were because the right was fighting for civil rights or justice. Or maybe just a bunch of crazy right wing morons whose weak minds had been brainwashed.

Let's re-visit the Kent State victims...

Here's the 'hippies' that were exterminated by the state...

Allison B. Krause (April 23, 1951 - May 4, 1970) was an honors student at Kent State University, Ohio, when she was shot and killed by the Ohio National Guard in the Kent State shootings, while protesting the invasion of Cambodia and the presence of the National Guard on the Kent State campus. Her father had been a Holocaust survivor from Germany.

Sandra Lee Scheuer (pronounced /ˈʃɔɪ.ər/; August 11, 1949 - May 4, 1970) was a student at Kent State University in Kent, Ohio, when she was killed by Ohio National Guardsmen in the Kent State shootings.

Scheuer, born in Youngstown, Ohio, was an honors student in speech therapy. She was a graduate of Boardman High School. She did not take part in the Vietnam War protests that preceded the shootings.

Jeffrey Glenn Miller (March 28, 1950 – May 4, 1970) was a student at Kent State University in Kent, Ohio when he was shot and killed by Ohio National Guardsmen in the Kent State shootings. Shortly before his death, in May 1970, Miller had transferred to Kent State from Michigan State University. While at Michigan State, Miller pledged Phi Kappa Tau fraternity where his older brother had been a member.

William Knox Schroeder
(July 20, 1950 – May 4, 1970) was a student at Kent State University, Ohio, when he was killed by Ohio National Guardsmen in the Kent State shootings.

Schroeder was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. He moved with his family to Lorain, Ohio when he was in elementary school and graduated from Lorain High School where he was an honors student. Already an Eagle Scout, at age 17 Schroeder applied for the Army Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) Scholarship. He received the Academic Achievement award from both the Colorado School of Mines and from Kent State University, where he was a psychology student. He also earned the Association of the United States Army award for excellence in History.[/quote]

Exactly. If they had been smart like Cheney, they would have gotten 5 deferments or like Bush, MIA.
