Bush is basically the only socialist politician we've got. These measure are temporary, if you are talking about partial ownership of the banks. It's just not going to happen.

It's both. We've got bigger government and crony capitalism. It's a mess.

and married Filipino woman..again I was very impressed these where not stupid woman and after a few years and a child they where well aware they could take buddy for half his boat and license.. but they where very loyal

So, if you get your precious socialism, what are you going to do with it. Be like Europe, where the unemployed masses riot? Where the only way they can keep employers, is by threatening them with massive fines, if they don't follow a strict list of rules. Or go on vacation for 3 months a year.

Be like Russia, where you can't get anything done without a bribe? Where you live in fear of the Mob, or the other Mob (the government).

Socialism is the politics of the lazy. You can dump every ounce of American resources into the welfare hole, and your return on investment will be negative. Because the benefactors of socialism never appreciate what is "given" to them. And will only return with a bigger hand.

Only through earning one's way, will you find value in the food in your mouth, and the shelter over you head. Ever see a section 8 housing resisdent appreciate there domicile?

In school they taught us about McCarthy, finally I'm starting to understand his view after reading the anti-American whitewash spread on this board.
