So first she says that no one on her staff tried to have this trooper fired, then after an audio tape surfaces of her staff doing just that, she changes her story.
And today the Commissioner himself says she called him personally and also emailed him to have the trooper fired.
When the investigation is complete, this woman is toast.
How are you so ignorant? Seriously, please tell me.
First she said no one on her staff didn't try to have him fired BECAUSE SHE DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT IT. When the tape was presented to her by her staff, she immediately turned it over to investigators.
She is in complete cooperation with the investigators.
It seems to me that the commissioner is a bitter old fool. Unfortunately for him, he was an employee of the Palin administration. Alaska is an at-will state. She can fire him for whatever reason she wishes. She fired him because he was not filling empty trooper positions.
In defense of the commissioner, she claims the trooper positions were empty because Wooten was a bad person to be representing the force. AND SHE WAS RIGHT.
Get over it, Kirk. This is hardly a scandal. It will blow over with ease.

"Palin, who has previously said her administration didn't exert pressure to get rid of trooper Mike Wooten"
She called and emailed the Commissioner personally, and her staff made more than two dozen calls to him about it.
She lied to the public because she knew it was wrong. Then when she was caught, she acted like she didn't know. She is going down.

Sigh. You know what, I'm just going to let you live in your delusioned world. I'm tired of trying to teach you common sense. I'm thinking of becoming pro-abortion so we can rid the world of people like you.

How could she say no one exerted pressure when she called and emailed the Commissioner personally?
It's Spiro Agnew all over again.
Why would he say that she never contacted him directly and then say she did?
Fuck, you're stupid.

But the way they both keep posting the same thing over and over, I'm beginning to think they are the same person.

On a tape-recorded conversation between Palin's chief of boards and commissions, Frank Bailey, and a police lieutenant, Bailey mentions Palin and her husband Todd by name.......
In the call, Bailey said, "Todd and Sarah are scratching their heads, 'Why on earth hasn't this, why is this guy still representing the department?' "
Palin suspended Bailey with pay, saying she knew nothing about the call.
Palin still faces the review by the legislature.
State Sen. Hollis French (D) said that both Republicans and Democrats authorized the hiring of a former prosecutor to determine whether Palin "used her public office to settle a private score." French described the prosecutor, Steve Branchflower, as a "straight shooter,"
French said the investigation of the popular 44-year-old governor had been criticized throughout the state until about two weeks ago, when the governor's office released the audiotape of Bailey.
Such evidence points to a violation of Wooten's privacy, French said.
"We're seeing clues or signs that matters from his personal confidential file were being shared to generate talking points against the trooper as drums being pounded to get him dismissed," French said yesterday.

I don't think this is going to help because you are truly stuck on making this woman out to be scandalous and no amount of evidence will change your mind of that. But I will try.
If you read the articles on this story, the Commissioner said he was contacted by her by email and phone explaining the actions of this office but never once said the trooper should be fired or perceived to put any pressure on the Commissioner to fire him. She simply told the Commissioner about the actions of this officer and explained they were inappropriate for a State Trooper.
She took actions that only a sane person would do. The State Trooper was obviously a loose cannon and from the sound of it could have been harmful to the Palin family.
Can your candidates not win the election simply based on merit and what they have to offer? Are you that concerned of a McCain/Palin victory that you so desperately are trying to find a story/scandal where one doesn't exist?
Bravo for this post. I assume you are for Obama/Biden in this coming election from your profile pic. But I think your post shows a level of respect for the other side even if you don't agree with them.
I wish more folks would take this approach on both sides and then maybe we could resolve some of our nation's issues.

Yes, I've already read this too. This doesn't prove anything and I'm sure you've heard this person has been removed. Again, your reaching for something that isn't there.
