Canadian Congress accidentally passes the budget...

Quote:

June 6 (Bloomberg) -- The Canadian government's C$227 billion ($204 billion) budget was passed in the House of Commons after opposition lawmakers accidentally failed to stand up to debate the spending plan.

``It passed with unanimous consent,'' Finance Minister Jim Flaherty told reporters outside the House of Commons in Ottawa today.

They were probably too busy watching a hockey game to notice that Parliament was in session.

I liked the backspin later on in the story...

"It's really no big deal that we unanimously passed a bill we rejected to because now it goes on to the Senate... (who must be more responsible with their role in government)."

Hmmm. Ithought senate approval was redundant.

It's funny, they oppose the budget now. Had they spoke up, they could have toppled Harper's government. Interesting, yet still making themselves look like retards. Typical left.
