Is that your impression of her?

She remind me of the kind of reasonably attractive woman who uses her charms to wrap a particularly sexually immature kind of man (that would be most of them BTW, regardless of age) around her conniving femme fatale finger.

Her winking to the camera act was offensive to me, to be frank.

True enough. The Republicans played the hand that Bush dealt them, but even their propaganda machine ( Palin included) couldn't make most Americans buy into their act this time round

I think the people who rally aound her and her stated values are somewhat discredited right now.

But the American people do seem to have a very short collective memory, so, like you, I think time will tell.

She's capitalizing on her fame (and infamy, too) and frankly, I can't fault her for that.
