I mean, if Russia would pick a fight with Finland. The Finns, for all their resilience, would not capture St. Petersburg at day one of hostilities.
The Georgians did in fact, capture the hostile capital of South Ossetia. I would label suprise as the only way they could have achieved this.
If they suprised Russia than it was not Russia picking a fight there.
Sakashvilis gamble did not pay off, and now he is trying to win via the media what he could not win via his military. | South Ossestia is part of Georgia. It's been party of Georgia since the state was created. If New Jersey rebels and we move in to put down the rebellion, are we starting a war with Russia if they decide to invade the United States based on what we do in our own territories?

“The Lord works from the inside out. The world works from the outside in. The world would take people out of the slums. Christ takes the slums out of people, and then they take themselves out of the slums. The world would mold men by changing their environment. Christ changes men, who then change their environment. The world would shape human behavior, but Christ can change human nature." -ETB |
