A quibble: the anthrax guy is not number three. Islamist terrorists have killed dozens of Americans in variouis attacks around the world.

But, even if these two lone nutters had taken #2 and #3 places in the numbers-killed-at-one-time competition, so what?

What follows from that?

Is the implication that there must be hundreds of thousands of other lone maniacs out there, getting ready to bomb federal buildings or trigger anthrax attacks? So we are wasting our time fighting in Afghanistan and tracking Al Queda, when we should be going after New World Order-fearing militia fantasists, or mad scientists?
