I own a Springfield TRP which I absolutely love. Picked it up LNIB (with ~100 rds through it) for $800. 2K+ rds and without so much as a hiccup.

RE: Glocks. Most CA LE agencies don't allow non-SWAT to carry single-action sidearms, so Glocks are out of the question for the average officer. 1911s seem to be the top choice for LEOs that are allowed to carry SAs even when they have the option of a Glock. In fact, Kimber designed the TLE II specifically for LAPD SWAT and the SIS for the Special Investigation Section.

I just don't like the striker mechanism on Glocks. Plus I've heard of a number of agencies in other states barring officers from carrying them because of mishaps that have occured at police shooting ranges (though anyone who's ever been to an IDPA shoot can tell you the problem could easily be the officers as opposed to the pistols themselves).
