My thought is a 401k... I don't really believe Social Security is going to be there for me when I retire unless we keep increasing taxes. Plus where in the constitution does it say that other people should pay for my retirement? Besides I think I could get a better rate of return on my money than the government could with my money. That way when I die my kids will get my 401k money...they definitely won't be getting my Social Security money.
What does everyone think? | it is my understanding that social security was never meant to be a retirement plan, just extra income to help pay for medical expenses as you get older. am i wrong on this?
