I suppose that within the context of the example ypou presented (WalMart) that no business should be started that will somehow damage or make less competitve any other business. Sounds like a very poor basis to start a business.
Also, why would anyone believe that WalMart just suddenly appeared and all those small businesses just disappeared? Could not any one of those businesses have done what WalMart did before WalMart even existed? The fact is they could have but CHOSE not to. They made a business decision (as did WalMart) and now some folks whine about poor vs smart business decisions. Another example of punishing success and rewarding mediocrity. |
Rubbish man, come on now, I live here in the south and saw first hand what Walmart can do, they're typical capitalist pigs that work their people without much benefits for them, give them shoddy health care plans and put out of business a load of mom and pop businesses here in the south, businesses that served all the needs of the people in those towns. the fast food joints didn't hurt anyone hardly, but Walmart, towns were virtually ghosttowns. And you call that smart business? No thats dog eat dog greedy ruthless capitalism.
